UNC CharlotteLast night my boyfriend and I went to the UNCC Belk College alumni event. This one was my second, his first. We both graduated from UNCC with marketing degrees and became friends in golf class our last semester after I hit him with a ball.
The alumni event was held at Howl at the Moon, a dueling piano bar at the EpiCenter. It was our first time there and we really enjoyed ourselves. The even was only $15 per person and included heavy finger foods and two drink tickets, not bad! We met the CFO of Duke energy (class of '77) and he kept us company while we looked completely lost at the bar. The event was sold out but we didn't chat with too many people, most stuck to their cliques.
I won a bobble head during the raffle and David from Duke killed my name but I am more shocked when people get it right then when they don't. Afterwords, we met the new Dean. Joe's a nice fella and is a complete opposite of Dean Lily. I think I like him. :)
We had a great time and can't wait till the next alumni event.
